The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) is assembling in Kerala to choose a candidate for the chief minister position after the 2026 Assembly election win, where they secured 63 seats.
AICC observers Mukul Wasnik and Ajay Maken have been stationed in Thiruvananthapuram to assist in discussions with key leaders such as V M Sudheeran and K Sudhakaran.
Wasnik and Maken, after the deliberations, will report their recommendations to the Congress high command, who are considering V D Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, and K C Venugopal for the role.
