DMK organizing secretary R S Bharati countered Shanmugam's claims, reaffirming that DMK president M K Stalin intends to operate firmly as an opposition force. Bharati assured that past election result clarifications stand true, dismissing any notions of an alliance with AIADMK.
Furthermore, Shanmugam revealed AIADMK's departure from the NDA, opting to back the Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government, while cautioning against any coalition with their traditional adversary, the DMK.
