In light of the ongoing West Asian crisis affecting global supply chains, Odisha BJP Yuva Morcha President Abhilash Panda emphasized the importance of Prime Minister Modi's suggested austerity measures. He highlighted India's heavy reliance on imported essentials, such as oil and gold, prompting a need for economic adjustments.
Panda remarked on the Prime Minister's advocacy for practices like natural farming and reduced petrol usage to bolster India's self-reliance. These measures, he said, are vital given the current global conditions, aiming to alleviate economic pressures and strengthen the country's financial standing.
Reactions to the situation also came from West Bengal, where Minister Dilip Ghosh praised India's stability under Modi's leadership, highlighting the steadfast economic state despite rising global instability. Modi's recent appeal in Secunderabad called on citizens to prioritize domestic alternatives and reduce dependency on imports, focusing on economic and environmental conservation.
