Iran Seeks India's Peace Initiative in West Asia Amid BRICS Tensions

Iran is inviting peace efforts from nations like India to resolve the West Asia conflict. Developing a new framework for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, Iran aligns with international standards, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, who spoke on Wednesday.

Gharibabadi's remarks highlight a potential BRICS division due to one member nation, presumably the UAE, demanding condemnation of Iran. He praised India's neutrality and efforts for peace at an upcoming BRICS meeting of foreign ministers.

Amid talks with Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Russia's Sergey Lavrov, discussions will continue on the energy-impacting West Asia crisis. Iran's cooperation with Oman on merchant vessel passage frameworks aims to enhance regional stability and transparency.
