Manipur Chief Minister Condemns Deadly Ambush on Church Leaders

In the aftermath of a deadly ambush on Thadou Baptist Association (TBA) Church leaders, Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh made a hospital visit on Wednesday to assess the condition of the wounded. Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho and Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Singh ensured that the victims at Shija Hospitals & Research Institute received optimal care.
The early morning attack left three dead and four others seriously injured. The Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) from Churachandpur District responded with an indefinite shutdown in the area. According to local reports, unidentified attackers ambushed the convoy of TBA Church leaders at around 10:00 AM, between Kotzin and Kotlen in Kangpokpi district, as they returned from Churachandpur.
Chief Minister Singh expressed grave concern and condemned the act as a threat to peace in the state. He assured that those responsible would face justice. In a public statement, Singh emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and called for an end to communal intimidations, pledging state resources to bring the perpetrators to book.
