Mamata Banerjee's Court Appearance: Political Drama or Genuine Concern?

Senior BJP leader Tapas Roy criticized Mamata Banerjee's court appearance as a 'political gimmick' following TMC's electoral loss. Senior BJP leader Tapas Roy labeled Mamata Banerjee's appearance before the Calcutta High Court as a 'political gimmick,' following the electoral defeat of her party, the TMC. Roy accused Banerjee of trying to stay in the public eye after losing credibility due to arrogance, corruption, and nepotism.

Speaking to reporters at the state assembly, Roy emphasized that people have rejected both TMC and Banerjee, adding that her recent court appearance is merely an attempt at drama that will bear no results. Banerjee appeared in connection with alleged post-poll violence and attacks on TMC offices.

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, asked about Banerjee's move, refrained from engaging, stating his priority was governance. Earlier, Banerjee told the court that the state was not a 'bulldozer state,' calling for judicial intervention to safeguard people amid alleged violence following the election results.
