In a stride towards regional stability, Pakistan has welcomed recent calls from within India advocating for dialogue between the two nations. Tahir Andrabi, the Foreign Office spokesman, highlighted the critical role of constructive partnerships in fostering peace and prosperity. He responded to queries at a weekly press briefing, focusing on former Indian army chief Gen (retd) Manoj Naravane's and RSS leader Dattatreya Hosabale's supportive statements for sustained dialogue with Pakistan.

Andrabi noted that this development could pave the way for progressive relations between the neighboring countries, expressing hope for an official response from India. However, he remained tight-lipped on the existence of any back-channel communications. Reiterating Pakistan's commitment, he emphasized meaningful diplomacy and respect for sovereignty as essential for regional and global harmony.

The spokesman assured that Pakistani troops remain vigilant at the Line of Control, prepared for any ceasefire violations. On another front, Andrabi affirmed Pakistan's active involvement in facilitating US-Iran peace discussions, maintaining optimism about their progress.
