Tragic Loss: Goa Congress Leader Ketan Bhatikar Succumbs to Snakebite

Goa Congress leader Ketan Bhatikar has tragically lost his life after a snakebite incident as confirmed by police officials on Friday.

The unfortunate event took place on Thursday night when Bhatikar, 38, was en route to Dandeli village in Karnataka. He stepped out at Karmal Ghat on the Goa-Karnataka border where he was bitten by a snake. Despite being rushed to the Primary Health Centre in Dharbandora, Goa, Bhatikar was declared brought dead by doctors.

Bhatikar was known as the Congress candidate for the now-cancelled Ponda by-election and had appealed to the Supreme Court against a high court order. Numerous tributes poured in from various political figures and the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, acknowledging his dedication to public service and expressing heartfelt condolences to his grieving family and supporters.
