Former IAS Officer Dr Swaran Singh Joins AAP: A Political Leap

In a significant political development, former IAS officer Dr Swaran Singh has officially joined the ranks of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as of Friday. Singh's decision was predominantly inspired by the party's transformative policies and the governance style of the Punjab state government.

Punjab's AAP state president and minister, Aman Arora, warmly welcomed Singh into the fold, presenting him with a traditional 'siropa' or robe of honor, a gesture of respect and recognition. Singh's entry is regarded as a substantial addition, given his extensive administrative experience and influence in both the social and political spheres.

Singh, who previously vied for the Faridkot seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, was described by Arora as a valuable asset to the party.
