On Saturday, Congress leader T Siddique addressed the ongoing leadership tussle within the party, likening it to the natural birthing process, where the pain eventually leads to the birth of something good. He gave these remarks upon meeting AICC Leader K C Venugopal.

Responding to questions regarding senior leader Ramesh Chennithala's dissatisfaction over the Chief Minister post, Siddique was optimistic, stating that discussions will iron out all issues. His comparison to labour pain was intended to highlight the complexity but eventual resolution of the situation.

Siddique emphasized that the necessary discussions and planning are underway to ensure a smooth transition of leadership, with the swearing-in ceremony of the UDF government's cabinet members imminent.
