Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday for urging citizens to postpone foreign travel amidst a crisis, while continuing his own international visits. Mann questioned Modi's sincerity, asking, "Why doesn't the PM work from home?"
Mann highlighted the issues of rising fuel prices and inflation, urging the government to implement practical measures instead of symbolic gestures. He called out the BJP-led Centre for imposing spending restrictions due to global tensions, while citizens grapple with economic hardships.
Further addressing Punjab's water rights, Mann vowed to protect the state's resources against external pressure. On domestic politics, he expressed confidence in the Aam Aadmi Party's performance in upcoming elections and criticized the diminishing influence of the Shiromani Akali Dal.
