China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi called for dedication to pursuing a ceasefire in the Iran conflict on Tuesday. His remarks came following the United States' defensive strikes in southern Iran.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicated that negotiation efforts could take several days, underscoring the complexity of the situation. Wang stressed the importance of dialogue and compromise.

Speaking at the United Nations, Wang stated that while long-standing issues can't be solved overnight, each step in the negotiation process brings new hope for peace in the Middle East.
