Tensions Erupt During ED Raids at Pinarayi Vijayan's Residence

On Wednesday, chaos unfolded outside the rented home of Pinarayi Vijayan at Bakery Junction when CPI(M) workers, angered by ongoing ED searches, reportedly pelted security personnel with objects like helmets and stones. The raids relate to a case involving Vijayan's daughter.

The Vijayan family remained inside as enforcement officers executed the search, reportedly linked to unaudited payments from Cochin Minerals. Demonstrations against the BJP-led central government ensued, but senior CPI(M) officials later intervened to defuse the situation and recall protestors.
