In Hyderabad, a disagreement at a Telangana Congress meeting on Wednesday saw two prominent leaders, Feroz Khan and Osman Ali, engaged in a heated exchange that briefly escalated into a physical altercation. Both leaders have previously contested party elections and participated in the meeting concerning the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Footage from the meeting showed Khan being pushed by Ali, causing him to fall. However, tensions eased as the two quickly reconciled. Observers, including state ministers Mohammad Azharuddin and Ponnam Prabhakar, confirmed the issue was minor, emphasizing the leaders’ commitment to their party’s ideology and dismissing any implications of internal discord.
Prabhakar highlighted the need to focus on substantive party agendas rather than internal disputes, urging members and the public to disregard false narratives of disunity. The reconciliation underscores the leaders' efforts to maintain party cohesion amid challenging political environments.
