The flight, initially bound for Delhi, carried key figures including Siddaramaiah's son Yathindra and Congress general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala.
After stepping down as Karnataka's Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah was headed to the capital for discussions with the Congress high command about determining his successor and forming the new Cabinet, according to insiders. The unexpected landing included ministers and legal advisors accompanying him on this important journey.
