Kerala Government Poised to Deliver on Election Pledges, Says CM

Kerala's administration is gearing up to honour its electoral commitments, according to the Chief Minister. Plans include transforming Kerala into a major port and aviation hub, centred around two international ports and the state's existing four international airports.

Kerala's Chief Minister, V D Satheesan, announced that the state government is committed to fulfilling its election promises, as reflected in the Governor's policy speech. He asserted that the government has strategic plans to develop Kerala into a significant port city and aviation hub.

Addressing the media, Satheesan outlined the government's vision of integrating 17 mini ports with two international ports to create a comprehensive network. This initiative aims to position Kerala prominently on the map as a vital port city. Additionally, leveraging the existence of four international airports, Kerala is set to become a leading aviation hub in South Asia.

Earlier, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar presented the government's policy address to the assembly, highlighting the administration's key focus areas and long-term development ambitions for the state.
