Tripura's Chief Minister, Manik Saha, declared firm measures against any Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders making anti-party posts on social media. This comes in response to recent gatherings by party figures hinting at a rebellion against his leadership.
Speaking at an event honoring newly appointed BJP state president Abhishek Debroy, Saha stressed that posts critiquing the party online would constitute anti-party behavior and would be disciplined accordingly, maintaining organizational integrity above individual positions.
Saha noted that irresponsible online comments could mislead the public and damage the party's reputation. He pointed out a concerted effort to destabilize the party, comparing such actions to a 'slow poison'.
Warning against leaders who joined the party for monetary reasons, Saha likened such actions to a disease, sometimes requiring drastic measures like 'amputation'. Debroy also urged members not to air grievances online and mentioned surveillance systems monitoring such activities.
