Bikram Singh Majithia from the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) criticized the AAP administration, alleging that it misused official powers in the civic elections in Punjab. According to Majithia, the government tried to manipulate the vote counting in the Majitha Municipal Council.
Despite his allegations, the SAD's results in Majitha displayed significant public backing, with the party winning six wards against AAP's seven. Majithia remarked that the slow counting process was suspicious, noting only 6,936 votes were counted in 11 hours, implying possible government interference.
SAD's performance, he asserted, highlighted the flaws in AAP's claims and sent a powerful political message. Meanwhile, AAP achieved broad success across Punjab, winning 954 out of 1,977 wards, as per data from the Punjab State Election Commission.
