Weeks after taking office, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay held his inaugural public rally in Tiruchirappalli, expressing gratitude to the public for endorsing the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) over the entrenched DMK-AIADMK power structure. His address carried a pointed critique of political adversaries, highlighting their swift change of stance.
Vijay framed his election victory as a repudiation of the state's longstanding political dynamics. 'Despite their intentions to remain silent for six months, they couldn't hold their peace for even six days. By rejecting those who alternated in misleading you, you chose me, someone truly dedicated to serving you,' Vijay stated.
Addressing the Tiruchirappalli East, a constituency he once represented, Vijay reassured the people of his ongoing commitment and deep-rooted connection. He affirmed, 'Though I'm officially the MLA for Perambur, the people of Tiruchirappalli East remain close to my heart,' acknowledging his gratitude to the voters of this constituency.
