Russian airstrikes on major Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv, resulted in at least five fatalities and numerous injuries on Tuesday, according to authorities. The attacks come amid warnings from Moscow of an imminent major offensive.

In Dnipro, four lives were lost, and 16 people were injured, as confirmed by regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha on Telegram. Kyiv witnessed its toll with one casualty and 29 injured, noted Tymur Tkachenko, head of the capital's military administration.

President Zelenskiy reiterated warnings of a significant assault and urged citizens to heed air raid alerts. Russia has signaled intentions for systematic strikes, alleging a response to a previous drone attack. Both sides deny targeting civilians, while peace efforts remain stagnant.
