In a significant political gathering, senior Congress leaders from Karnataka have arrived in Delhi to finalize the composition of the new state cabinet. The meeting, attended by outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister-designate DK Shivakumar, and other party officials, aims to settle key ministerial appointments.

The swearing-in ceremony for DK Shivakumar is scheduled for Wednesday at 4:00 PM at Lok Bhavan. The transition comes amid reports of several ministers from Siddaramaiah's cabinet being replaced to introduce fresh leadership, although assurances regarding cabinet positions, notably to Rahul Gandhi, have been emphasized by Yathindra Siddaramaiah.

The Congress high command is tackling a delicate balancing act of regional and social factors while addressing top leadership roles, with speculation that Priyank Kharge might assume a prominent position. Meanwhile, DK Shivakumar has publicly acknowledged the crucial role played by the Gandhi family in his political ascent, expressing gratitude a day before his inauguration as Chief Minister.
