The British foreign ministry has summoned Russia’s ambassador following a drone strike by Russia that hit a residential building in Romania, injuring two people. Britain's foreign minister, Yvette Cooper, condemned the incident, highlighting the ongoing threat to both Ukrainian civilians and NATO territories.

The British foreign ministry took a decisive step on Wednesday by summoning Russia's ambassador. This came after a Russian drone attack last week targeted a residential building in Romania, a NATO member.

Speaking on the matter, Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper denounced the incident, which took place during an ongoing Russian assault on Ukraine that resulted in injuries for two people in the Romanian city of Galati. She affirmed Britain's solidarity with allies in defending NATO territory.

The foreign ministry issued a statement condemning Russia's continuous and brutal attacks. It emphasized the serious violation of NATO airspace and the unacceptable harm caused to innocent civilians, underscoring the persistent threats faced by Ukrainian civilians on a daily basis.
