German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated on Monday that a peace agreement between the United States and Iran could play a crucial role in stabilizing the global economy. Merz insisted that any such agreement should also include considerations for Lebanon.
His remarks came in the context of an upcoming Group of Seven (G7) meeting hosted by France. Merz pointed out that there is a new diplomatic opening concerning the conflict in Ukraine.
