NATO allies should continue their support for Ukraine's defence and even increase it by buying weapons made in the United States, a senior U.S. defence official said on Thursday.
"It is important that NATO allies continue and indeed increase their support for Ukraine's defense through the PURL Initiative. This will help to ensure that key materiel continues to reach the Ukrainian front line, enabling Ukraine's forces to deny further Russian advances," said Elbridge Colby, the under secretary of war for policy, who spoke on videoconference at a meeting on Ukraine at NATO headquarters.
