A tragic drone strike by Russian forces has devastated the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, killing at least 14 people and injuring more than 120, officials reported on Friday. Among the victims are 22 children, adding to the gravity of the daytime assault.

Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha confirmed the severity of the attack, stating that 29 of the injured are in serious condition, including five children. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy denounced the strike as a deliberate act of malice, designed to hit emergency responders by timing the second drone attack to follow the first.

This incident marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict, with Ukraine responding by targeting Russian oil and logistics infrastructure. The deadly assault comes amid mounting tension, with Kyiv recently suffering a ballistic missile attack that claimed 17 lives.
