Fijian Workers Can Now Work in Australia

Fijian workers can now freely in rural and regional Australia. This came about after the small island nation, Fiji joined Australia's Pacific Labor Scheme. This initiative was launched to help address labor shortages in remote areas. Nine Pacific countries fall under this scheme.

The expanded migrant labor scheme which was previously capped at 2000 places, allows workers from select Pacific island countries to work in rural and regional Australia for up to three years.
