Dismissed BSF constable Tej Bahadur Yadav will be Samajwadi Party candidate against Narendra Modi from Varanasi, party announces.
The SP-BSP alliance has changed its candidate from Shalini Yadav to Tej Bahadur Yadav. Now Yadav will contest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi. Former BSF constable was dismissed from service in the year 2017 after he posted a video complaining food quality served to soldiers.
Varanasi will go to polls in the seventh phase on May 19 and the last date for filing nomination is Monday (April 29).
