Democratic lawmaker says U.S. House expected to vote on Senate border bill

The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote on Thursday on a Senate-passed border aid bill without amendments, as Democrats give up for now an effort to force changes in the treatment of migrants at the U.S. border with Mexico, Democratic Representative Henry Cuellar said on Thursday.

House Democrats had earlier planned to amend the Senate's $4.6 billion aid bill to add protections for migrant children.
