Trump suggests next G7 summit be held at his own Doral resort; sparks controversy

United States President Donald Trump has stirred another controversy as he suggested that the next G7 summit should be held in Miami, pointing towards his own Trump Doral resort. He has often faced allegations of misusing his position for financial gains through his businesses.

When asked about the next G7 summit, which will be hosted by the US, Trump said that it will "probably be in Miami, right next to the international airport" while also boasting about how it's just being a 5-minute drive from the airport.

While talking to reporters, Trump also said that "We haven't found anything that could even come close to competing (with Doral)", however also stressing that the final decision has not been made yet.

Trump National Doral resort is a huge 800-acre property which is around eight miles for the Miami airport and boasts four golf courses and 643 rooms, plus more than 100,000 square feet of event space.
