The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Ganganagar, Narnaul, Gwalior, Orai, Mirzapur, Nawada, Purulia, Canning and thence southeastwards to the northeast Bay of Bengal.

The cyclonic circulation over west Haryana and neighbourhood now lies over Punjab and neighbourhood at 1.5 kms a. s. l. The cyclonic circulation at 3.1 kms a. s. l. over Jammu & Kashmir now lies over eastern parts of Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood. The system is likely to move east-northeastwards

. A cyclonic circulation extending between 5.8 & 7.6 kms a. s. l. lies over Saurashtra & neighbourhood and a trough runs from this system to north Chhattisgarh across Madhya Pradesh. A cyclonic circulation extending up to 3.1 kms a. s. l. lies over east Bihar and neighbourhood.

A cyclonic circulation at 7.6 kms a. s. l. lies over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighborhood. The east-west shear zone roughly along Lat. 20N across central India has become less marked.

The cyclonic circulation over the southeast Arabian Sea off Kerala coast has become less marked. A low-pressure area is likely to develop over north Bay of Bengal around 26th Aug. 2018.

The southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra and active over Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, and Konkan & Goa.

It has been subdued over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Tamil Nadu.
