Delhi received 10 mm of rainfall in the 24-hour time period ending 8:30 am Tuesday, the maximum in March in three years, the India Meteorological Department said. The Safdarjung observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, recorded 10 mm rainfall from 8.30 am on Monday to 8.30 am on Tuesday. The minimum temperature in the city was recorded 14.1 degree Celsius, two notches below the season's average, the IMD said. The relative humidity was recorded at 94 per cent at 8.30 am, it said. The weather office has predicted generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle during the day and the maximum temperature is likely to settle around 26 degrees Celsius. At 9 am, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded in the satisfactory category at 81.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
