Indonesia's Mount Ibu erupted dramatically on Tuesday, casting molten red lava and thick grey ash 5,000 meters into the air. The brief two-minute eruption sent ash clouds toward the volcano's western and northwestern sides, according to Muhammad Wafid, chief of Indonesia's Geology Agency.

Timelapse footage from Indonesia's Geological Agency captured the eruption, showing red sparks followed by a towering column of ash. The video, recorded from an observation post at Gam Ici village's evacuation site, highlights the eruption's intensity and ongoing volcanic activity.

With frequent eruptions since May, authorities have elevated the eruption alert to its highest level. They warn residents to maintain a 7-kilometer safety distance from the 1,325-meter volcano. Indonesia, home to 120 active volcanoes and located along the 'Ring of Fire,' is highly susceptible to volcanic activity.
