In a tragic turn of events, two cubs of a tigress translocated from Corbett Tiger Reserve were killed by leopards in the Beriwada range of Rajaji Tiger Reserve, confirmed officials on Tuesday.

RTR Director Saket Badola disclosed that the cubs, one male and one female, were approximately one to one and a half months old. Their injuries were severe: one cub had a broken neck, while the other's head was crushed.

The tigress, who was moved to the Chillawali range, had given birth to four cubs on May 24, leaving only two surviving offspring now.
