Navi Mumbai Crackdown: 41 Illegal Bars and Eateries Demolished by Civic Body

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) demolished 41 unauthorized bars and restaurants in a large-scale operation. Monitored by civic chief Kailas Shinde, the demolition primarily occurred in Belapur and Yeoor Hills, affecting a total area of 1.42 lakh square feet. Additionally, 98 paan stalls were sealed for proximity to schools.

In a sweeping move aimed at curbing unauthorized commercial activities, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) demolished 41 illegal bars and restaurants on Monday. The large-scale operation involved hundreds of personnel and was closely overseen by civic chief Kailas Shinde.

Official sources revealed that the maximum number of demolitions took place in Belapur, while seven bars were brought down in Yeoor Hills. In total, structures covering 1.42 lakh square feet were razed during the crack-down.

This demolition drive also extended to 98 paan stalls, which were sealed for being within a 100-meter radius of schools, another measure aimed at enhancing urban regulation and safety.
