Couple Injured in Collapse at Delhi's Hyatt Regency

A couple suffered minor injuries when part of a shed near a swimming pool at Hyatt Regency in southwest Delhi collapsed. Amit Jain and his wife Reva Jain were injured and shifted to Fortis hospital. Police have examined the scene and are awaiting further action.

A couple sustained minor injuries after a section of a shed near a swimming pool at the Hyatt Regency hotel in southwest Delhi collapsed, police reported on Tuesday.

At around 8:56 pm on Monday, a PCR call informed local authorities about the incident at Hyatt Regency, according to an official statement. Amit Jain (42) and Reva Jain (32) were near the swimming pool on the hotel's ground floor when a portion of the shed fell, causing minor head injuries to both.

The couple promptly called for police assistance and were taken to Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj. A senior police officer confirmed that a forensic team examined the scene and documented evidence. Though the couple has yet to file a formal complaint, the police assured that necessary actions would follow. Originating from Ludhiana, the couple, who run a business in Chandigarh, often stay at Hyatt Regency during their Delhi visits. They were discharged from the hospital after receiving first aid, and no immediate comment was available from Hyatt Regency.
