Tragic Electrocution Incident in Dwarka Claims Worker’s Life

Ram Naval, a BSES employee, died from electrocution and subsequent head injuries while repairing an electric pole in Dwarka, Mohan Garden. The incident happened at 9:30 am on Saturday. Despite medical attention at ESI Hospital and Ayushman Hospital, Naval was declared dead. An investigation is ongoing.

A 50-year-old man died from electrocution while repairing an electric pole in Dwarka, officials reported on Sunday.

The deceased, identified as Ram Naval, worked for Bombay Suburban Electric Supply (BSES). The incident occurred in Dwarka's Mohan Garden area, where Naval succumed to electrocution and subsequent head injuries from a 15-foot fall.

Police received a call from ESI Hospital Basai Darapur regarding the incident. 'Doctors confirmed Naval’s fall from a 15-foot pole, leading to head injuries and electrocution at 9:30 am on Saturday. He was later referred to Ayushman Hospital in Dwarka Sector 10, where he was declared brought dead,' stated a senior police officer.

An investigation is ongoing, and Naval’s body has been transferred to Delhi’s Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital for a post-mortem examination, added the officer.
