Tragic Highway Accident Claims Two Lives

A tragic accident on the highway claimed the lives of a man and his five-year-old nephew when their motorcycle collided with a stationary truck, police reported on Wednesday.

The incident, which took place near a food outlet on the national highway, also left two other family members injured. The deceased were identified as Mani Rattu (35) and his nephew Vinay Rattu (5).

Rattu's two other relatives, including a minor girl, suffered serious injuries and were admitted to a local hospital, as confirmed by Senior Medical Officer Lehmber Ram. The victims hailed from Kariana village near Phillaur. Further investigations are underway, according to police.
