A tragic incident occurred on Saturday in South Mumbai, where a balcony collapse claimed the life of a woman and injured three others. The four-storey Rubinnisa Manzil building on Sleater Road, near Grant Road railway station, saw a portion of its balcony come crashing down around 11 am.

Fire brigade officials reported that the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, a woman was pronounced dead on arrival, and the other three victims are currently undergoing treatment. The building, managed by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), had been declared dangerous by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and had received a prior notice regarding its condition.

In the aftermath, seven individuals were successfully rescued from the building. Despite earlier warnings, the tragic collapse has highlighted ongoing concerns regarding building safety in the area.
