Father and Daughter Die in Devastating Building Fire; Two Others Seriously Injured

A father and his 10-year-old daughter died and two others were seriously injured in a fire that broke out in a three-storied building in Kulsumpura early Wednesday. The fire, suspected to be caused by a short-circuit, spread rapidly from the ground floor, which housed a furniture manufacturing unit.

In a tragic incident early Wednesday, a 40-year-old man and his 10-year-old daughter perished, while two others sustained serious injuries in a fire accident in Kulsumpura, according to police reports.

The fire and police departments successfully rescued around 20 individuals trapped inside the three-storied building. The blaze originated on the ground floor, which housed a furniture manufacturing unit, before spreading to other floors.

Fire tenders arrived promptly and managed to extinguish the flames by 3 AM. Four family members residing on the first floor suffered severe burns; two of them later succumbed to their injuries in a state-run hospital. Authorities suspect the fire was caused by a short-circuit and have registered a case against the building owner.
