Tragic High-Rise Fire in Borivali Claims One Life, Injures Three Others

A tragic incident occurred on Thursday when a fire broke out in a high-rise building in Borivali, Mumbai, claiming the life of a 70-year-old man and injuring three others, according to a civic official.
The fire ignited in the 22-storey Kanakia Samarpan Tower near the Magathane metro station at 12:37 PM. It was extinguished by 1:02 PM through the efforts of the Fire Brigade, police, and local BMC ward, with ambulances on standby.
The blaze was restricted to the electric duct between the first and 16th floors. Four individuals were rushed to a private hospital due to suffocation from smoke. Doctors pronounced Mahendra Shah (70) dead on arrival. The other three victims, Ranjana Rajput (59), Shivani Rajput (26), and Shobha Savle (70), remain hospitalized but are in stable condition.
