Tragic Collapse in Navi Mumbai: Three Dead, Two Injured

Three people died and two others were injured after a four-storey building collapsed in Navi Mumbai's CBD Belapur area. In a tragic incident that unfolded early on Saturday, three individuals lost their lives and two others sustained injuries following the collapse of a four-storey residential building in Navi Mumbai's CBD Belapur area, officials reported.

The building, which housed 13 residential units and three shops, crumbled at approximately 4.50 am. Swift action by the authorities, alerted by residents who had noticed cracks in the structure, helped evacuate 52 residents—including women and children—prior to the collapse, averting a larger catastrophe.

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), supported by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), launched immediate rescue operations. While two people were pulled out alive, three bodies were later recovered from the debris. The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation, with local officials promising a thorough probe.
