Early Monday, a fire erupted at Kerala Restaurant in south Delhi's INA Market, injuring six people and spreading to two nearby fast food joints, officials reported.
Delhi Fire Service officials received the emergency call at 3:18 AM and dispatched seven fire tenders. It took approximately two hours to control the blaze, according to a DFS official.
The injured, who were restaurant workers sleeping inside, were rushed to Safdarjung and AIIMS Hospitals. Preliminary investigations indicate that a short circuit may have triggered the fire, and further inquiries are ongoing, police said.
