Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday accused the Delhi government of negligence, resulting in the deaths of three IAS aspirants at a coaching institute in the national capital.
The deceased, Shreya Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana, and Navin Dalwin from Kerala, met their tragic end when the basement of Rau's IAS Study Circle was flooded after rainfall on Saturday evening.
Khattar placed the blame on either the MCD or the Delhi government and mentioned that 1,120 institutes received notices in 2023 without any follow-up actions. Furthermore, he revealed that a fire NOC was issued in July, but subsequent complaints were allegedly ignored. Khattar asserted that all entities responsible for the tragedy should be included in the FIR.
