Six people, including two children, died, and three others were injured during heavy rains in Delhi on Wednesday evening, official sources reported. The fatalities were caused by electrocution, waterlogging, and building collapses.

Tanuja, 22, and her three-year-old son Priyansh drowned in a waterlogged drain in East Delhi's Ghazipur area. Emergency services removed their bodies, finding the mother still clutching her child. They were pronounced dead at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital.

Other incidents involved electrocution, with Mudit Kumar, 12, and Anil Kumar Shah, 18, dying due to live wires in southwest and Sangam Vihar areas, respectively. Additionally, a building collapse in north Delhi's Sabji Mandi resulted in the death of 62-year-old Anil Kumar Gupta. Authorities attribute these tragedies to negligence and ongoing probes are in progress.
