Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called for robust international collaboration to propel advancements in nanotechnology. Speaking at the inauguration of the three-day Bengaluru India Nano event, he stressed the need for cooperation between academia, industry, and research to tackle critical challenges in food security, energy, and healthcare.

The event, now in its 13th edition, aims to create a conducive environment for the growth of nanotechnology. The Chief Minister underscored Karnataka’s leading role in technology-based innovations and expressed confidence that Bengaluru will emerge as India’s nanotech hub, with support from premier research institutions.

Renowned scientist Prof C N R Rao was honored on his 90th birthday, and speakers including Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and Biocon Ltd chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw highlighted nanotechnology’s transformative potential.
