Nearly 1,300 personnel from various forces, including the NDRF, K-9 Dog Squad, Army, and private search and rescue companies, braved harsh weather and terrain to locate survivors or deceased persons. The death toll has risen to 219, with 206 people still missing, necessitating the use of deep search radars and cadaver dogs.

Amateur radio enthusiasts set up a critical communication network aiding rescue operations. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army, visited the affected areas, pledging support through his foundation. The Kerala government also provided free rations and sought to rehabilitate displaced animals through dairy farmers.
