The National Hurricane Center in Miami confirmed that Debby struck Steinhatchee, a small community of less than 1,000 residents in Florida's Big Bend area. The storm is expected to bring severe weather conditions, including heavy rain and potential flooding, to Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Debby marks the fourth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, which has seen an unusually active start.
