Tragedy Strikes Near Kashi Vishwanath Temple: One Dead, Five Rescued

A woman died and several people were rescued after two old houses collapsed near Kashi Vishwanath temple. Eight people were trapped, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) managed to pull out five survivors. Efforts to rescue others feared trapped under the debris are ongoing.

In a tragic incident near the Kashi Vishwanath temple, a woman lost her life while five others were rescued following the collapse of two old houses on Tuesday morning.

According to local officials, the structures, which were over 70 years old, collapsed in the Khoya Gali Chowk area, trapping eight individuals. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) responded promptly, extricating five people from the rubble, who were subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment.

Divisional Commissioner of Varanasi, Kaushal Raj Sharma, confirmed the death of one woman and indicated that efforts to rescue others feared trapped under the debris are still underway.
