ISRO's SSLV-D3 Successfully Launches Earth Observation Satellite

ISRO successfully launched the Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-08) using a small satellite launch vehicle (SSLV-D3) on Friday. The mission marks the completion of SSLV's third developmental flight, transitioning it to the operational phase. The launch places India’s space program at an advantage, highlighting ISRO’s technological achievements.

ISRO on Friday successfully launched an Earth observation satellite on board a small satellite launch vehicle, marking a significant milestone for India's space programme.

The third developmental flight, which carried the Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-08) and a passenger satellite SR-0 DEMOSAT, was placed into the intended orbit as planned.

'The third developmental flight SSLV-D3 with the EOS-08 satellite has been successfully accomplished. The rocket placed the spacecraft in the very precise orbit as planned, with no deviations,' ISRO Chairman S Somanath announced from the Mission Control Centre at the spaceport.
