Two workers lost their lives, and two others were injured after a portion of a slab in an under-construction building collapsed on Thursday afternoon, civic officials reported.
The incident took place around 12:10 pm in the Govind Nagar area of Malad East. According to primary information, a section of the top floor slab of the 20-storey building gave way.
The injured were swiftly taken to nearby M W Desai Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared two of them dead, while the condition of the remaining injured workers is still being monitored.
